2010 Spending chart & Budget (2011).
0First and foremost Happy New Years! Like your former lover, may your next be better than your last! As I do every year, here is the latest excel budget template, that probably only I use. There are probably easier, faster, better ways of tracking your spending, but this suits me perfectly.

Unemployment fraud?
0KEEP IN MIND I AM NOT ATTEMPTING THIS, NOR DO I SUGGEST YOU DO.
As of my poorly timed firing. I’ve taken liberty and joined the bandwagon and hopped on the unemployment train – which should keep my neck afloat until my upcoming “vacation”. Sadly, due to the way my mind works, I can only think in ways that result in bending the system. I kid you not, I even had a dream about it – but it was with the lottery and would never work.
From my understanding of unemployment, its based off how much you make during a period of time, if you were to file in Janurary of 09, your wages would be based off Oct. 07 to Sept. 08., or the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters. However you only need to work for 4 months to collect. I think. This is all a terrible idea, but…
Hypothetically you could work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Averaged about $1500 in sales, 20% tips, it comes to roughly $1500 a week. Plus wages, of course you can fudge these numbers. But this equates to $500 in unemployment. Lets say you were to, declare 400 a day (2000 a week; opposed to 300 a day), more than likely you will take a hit on your paycheck, but unemployment goes up to a little over $650. Anywho I’m sure you get the idea where I’m going with this. Declare a ridiculous amount on tips, earn more than what you would have made anyways. The trick is getting laid off, or fired for… no good reason.
Credit Card fraud?

Here’s the gist of it. When customers pay with cash for their meals at Red Robin. I keep the cash and put it on my rewards card. Since the 4th of January my sales have been roughly $28,000. We can probably safely say that of that 28, between 1/3 to 1/2 of those people had payed with cash. I pay my balance off in full each month and here is what I would keep. I have to go to work, so when I get back, I’ll update this with what results I find off the net.
After reading the TOS, I really didn’t see anything wrong with this method. I didn’t read that other 9 million page pamphlet.
Total for exploiting this system $569.50.
| Spend $25,000 | Rebate Percentage | Here’s how your reward adds up |
|---|---|---|
| First $2,000 | 0.35% | $7.00 |
| Next $2,000 | 0.75% | $15.00 |
| Next $11,000 | 1.00% | $110.00 |
| $15,000 – $50,000 | 1.25% | $437.50 |

Sorry I didn’t get around to this until April. Truth be told I was going to use my old one, but I made a new one, and these things take time. I’ve been using it so far, and it probably still has bugs in it, and it isn’t finished. So next years will be super good!
